What is a "sponsor" ?
All potential new members will be required to have an official Dharma
member sponsor. It is also possible for members to recruit new
members. As you travel thru the Kingdom, keep an eye open for
people who you would be proud to have as a family member in Dharma.
Who can be a sponsor?
Any Dharma member in good standing that is past the level of Initiate
and who is not on meditation or probation status. A maximum of 3 new
members may be sponsored at one time.
What are the responsibilities of a sponsor?
Sponsors will act as a screening process as well as teachers and
guides. It is the sponsor's job to teach the new member the ways and
rules of Dharma clan. Sponsors will prepare the new member for a
test (interview) that will be given regarding Dharma Clan prior to
their official acceptance. The test will vary but will include questions
and info found on our Shrine as well as Clan Rules and info found
on the Songs of Dharma board located outside the door to Forcer's
room.
The sponsor will be responsible for summoning potential member to
the Hall and accompanying them at all times while the candidate is
in the Hall studying the board as well as receiving tour of Hall.
When the sponsor and new member believe they are ready and are
truly knowledgeable about the clan:
- The new member will request an audience with Admissions officer
- If a new member fails more than 2 answers, they will be asked to
return to their sponsor for further training. (They will be given one
more chance at interview-test).
What does Sponsor get from all this work & energy?
- The self satisfaction of having brought a new family member into
a great clan.
- At the time that a new member is admitted into clan, the sponsor
will receive 200 Dharmic Duty points for services rendered to clan.
(Dharmic duty points go towards raising your rank in the clan :o)

Dharma members in good standing who desire to add another of their
characters into the clan, will NOT require a sponsor nor an interview
... but they will still responsible for Story and Initiate Quest items.
Each character is considered individually and accumulates points
and titles separately. Additional characters will also be subject to
the Initiate>Walker 90-day standard.
